Infinix has launched a new budget smartphone called Infinix smart 5. The new Infinix Smart 5 is the successor to Smart4 which was also launched earlier in Nepal.
Initially, it was launched exclusively in Daraz but currently, it is also available from offline stores.
Though Infinix brand is not popular, it is also providing value for money in budget segment. Therefore, here we will be discussing about specifications, features and price of Infinix smart 5 device.

Infinix Smart 5 is a budget device. The highlight of the phone is its has massive 5,000mAh battery and 6.6 inches HD+ display. It runs on Android 10 Go Edition.
Design and Display of Infinix Smart 5
Infinix Smart 5 has a 6.6-inch IPS TFT display with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels.
It means you can play YouTube video at maximum of 720p resolution on YouTube App. It features a waterdrop notch which houses the front camera.
The back side of the device features a gem-cut design which produces different patterns and color variations based on the view angle. This design has been used in many of its previously launched devices.
Infinix Smart 5 Performance and Memory
The Smart 5 uses a quad-core Mediatek Helio A20 chipset having frequently of 1.8 GHz. The device is available in 2GB/32GB and 3GB/64GB memory configuration.
It runs on Android 10 Go edition out of the box. And we can not expect to get upgrade to Android 11 or higher for such bugdet device.
If you prefer high performance, you can not expect it from Infinix Smart 5.
Camera of Infinix Smart 5
This device has a triple camera and flash light setup arranged at the back in up side down L shape.
The primary sensor is of 13MP. The primary camera supports autofocus. The company has not specified about the use of next two QVGA lenses.
It captures video 1080p at 30fps.
For a budget device we can expect them to be monochrome and a depth sensor. In budget segment, companies generally put extra lenses as marketing strategy.
Rear camera set up is accompanied by triple flash. Which means you will be able to capture pictures in night with triple flash enabled which gives a balanced intensity of light on our framed objects.
On front side, there is an 8MP selfie camera which is accompanied by a dual front flash. It offers background blur effect for selfie using AI.
Infinix smart 5 Battery
It is backed by a massive 5000mAh battery. Of course it is massive in this segment. It is also the main attraction point of the device.
The company is claiming up to 3 days of battery backup. In my opinion this time doesn’t apply to heavy usage. As I have already experience of using a 5000mAh battery in a HD+ LCD display device.
As the display is not FHD+ claim for up to 2 days is acceptable. Additionally, the device claim to sustain up to 33 hours of talk time and 35 days of standby time for a 100 percentage charge.
It provides a 10W (5V, 2A) micro USB charger in the box with device. As the battery is huge charging time may go up to 3hrs.
For this segment we can not expect fast charger but definitely a type-C which company compromised on micro USB.
Security
For security, it has a capacitive biometric sensor (fingerprint) on the rear side (back) of the device. Moreover, the device provides face unlock.
